Environmental Science is a multidisciplinary science comprising various branches of studies such as chemistry, physics, medical science, life science, agriculture, public health, sanitary engineering etc. Environmental science analyses causes and effects of climate and global warming and includes study of recycling and reuse of resource. It encompasses the air, water and soil etc. and the impact of human activities on them and addresses the approach towards sustainable development. Fast growth in urbanization and industrialization during last few decades have resulted in depletion of natural resources, degradation of environmental and pollution of air, soil and water. Therefore, it is necessary to think about the problems related our environment and their solutions for its betterment. This book is divided into two Sections: section I includes research papers by various scientists and research scholars and Section II reviewes papers/articles by various academicians. We hope that this book would be able to motivate the students, academicians and scientists about different issues related to environmental science and technology.

Dr. Ram Pratap Singh is currently working as Head, Department of Botany, Goverment P. G. College, Morena (MP). Earlier, he served as lecturer in Department of Botany, Institute of Basic Sciences, Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (UP). He obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree from School of Studies in Botany, Jiwaji University, Gwalior (MP). He has been awarded NETJRF by (UGCCSIR) in 2001. He has been teaching basic and advance Botany including Plant Taxonomy, Biotechnology and Plant Physiology at undergraduate and post graduate level for past fourteen years. Besides teaching he is actively engaged in research activities. He is life member of Indian Botanical Society and Indian Science Congress Association & Indian Association for Angiosperm Taxonomy. He has published edited/written five books more than 14 research papers in National and international Journals. He has attended and organized several National Seminars. He has also visited in Sri Lanka and presented a research paper in World Biodiversity Congress2014, Colombo. Dr. Vinayak Singh Tomar is currently working as Head, Department of Zoology, Goverment P. G. College, Morena (MP). He obtained M.Sc., M.Ed and Ph.D. degree. He had been teaching life sciences (basically zoology) including Animal Physiology, Taxonomy and Cytogenetics at UG and PG level for past 18 years. He has been published more than 23 research papers on his name in various National and International journals, Magazines and Books. He is life member of many zoological research organizations. He has also appointed as subject expert in various government and autonomous colleges. He is editorinchief of "Voyager" an international journal of sciences and life sciences. He has edited/written four books on IPR, mustard aphid, Biological science etc.
